What does the Bible say about the authority of the Scripture?

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
Psalm 19:7-8



Notice what these verses say about the LORD:
  • His law is perfect.
  • His testimony is sure.
  • His statutes are right.
  • His commandment is pure.

Where can we find the LORD's law, testimony, statues, and commandment?
In Scripture, the Bible.

What benefit is it to us to read, study, and know these things of the LORD?
  • To have our soul converted.
  • To become wise (spiritually).
  • To rejoice our heart.
  • To enlighten our eyes.

Why would we want to remain in ignorance and darkness, when we can have the light and wisdom of God? Trust in the Word of God, put faith in Jesus Christ, have your soul converted, and let your heart rejoice!
