The Bible: God's Holy Word
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. [Psalm 119:11]
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. [Psalm 119:105]
It is imperative that we purpose to instill and nurture within ourselves, as well as in others, a godly desire to read, study, ruminate on (that is to meditate, think, or ponder at length), and memorize Scripture.
One way to do that is through what is known as Bible Drills. In Louisiana, our association has a yearly Bible Drill ministry. If you live in Louisiana, please contact the association to see how you or your church can become part of it. If you live elsewhere, the resources are free to download and use. There is a section for Children (4th - 6th), Youth (7th - 9th), and High School (10th - 12th).
